Samantha Bruce is a female photographer based in Norfolk and covering the South East of England.
Samantha first started Photography at Sixth Form College and began her passion for Photography as a Subject at A level, where she first learnt the method of Film Photography with Black and White printing in a Darkroom, which allowed her to learn the traditional method of Film Printing.
From here Samantha went on to study at the University of the Arts London at LCC (London College of Communications) studying a Foundation Degree in Photojournalism. Her time at University gave her the knowledge and understanding of Photography in the media industry and the publication field.
During Her studies she became the Picture Editor of the Supplement of the University Newspaper and also completed a work placement at the Sunday Times Magazine aswell as Big Cheese magazine, and Vive Le Rock. Samantha was able to have photographs and stories published and now a Freelance Photographer for ‘Vive Le Rock’ & ‘Big Cheese Magazine’
During her Photojournalism course she was also able to Photograph within the Photojournalism world, and allowed her to take photographs of news worthy events of current celebrities and World wide News.
Samantha has also worked alongside Royal Photographer George Bodnar, who gave her the opportunity to assist him in Royal & Promotional Media events. From here she was able to gain a greater understanding of the more technical side of Digital Photographer, and gaining greater knowledge with Studio Lighting, Wide Format Cameras, etc.
Samantha first began her photographic career within the music industry, beginning her portfolio with band promotional shots and live reviews. Samantha has photographed many bands such as Cock Sparrer, Gallows, Dropkick Murphys, Less Than Jake, Bad Religion and many more.
Samantha has expanded her photographic career in the subjects of Private Events, Birthdays, Family & Pet Portraiture, Fashion portraiture and wonderful Weddings!
Samantha is fully dedicated to capturing what the client requires and always looks forward to a new challenge!
